Comfort Food

Everybody loves comfort food. Had a terrible day? Try treating yourself for a change. I’m not saying eating for comfort every day is healthy. It’s not. However, most things are good in moderation. For me, it’s more about memories that come with certain foods. For example, I always think of my Mamaw whenever I smell handmade macaroni. I can’t help but remember summer vacation, how she’d cook, and always buying popsicles sold by the bundle. Do you have a food you love because of a happy memory? If so let me know in the comments!

  1. It’s definitely nice to sit down after a long day and have one of your favorite meals, no matter how unhealthy it may be. It’s not good to do it very often but it does lift your heart a bit. It’s also nice to have the memories a certain taste or smell brings your way.

  2. I love food and reading this made my heart happy. I definitely connect with certain memories and people through some foods. Food is always a way of comfort. Of course, as you said not every day because it might not be the healthiest but I agree with you to the max

  3. I enjoyed reading this post because I could really relate to it. Whenever I’m feeling upset or down I want some of my mom’s homemade macaroni. I totally agree that you should remember to eat in moderation and not just every single day. Great read!

  4. Every time I think of any type of pie, it reminds me of my grandma’s house. We always would bake different pies. Yet, my comfort food is anything chocolatey. I loved how short your post was!
